After return from Sales, lower rated front springs and front roll rod were fitted and these effected an improvement in the ride, particularly with regard to pitching.

There has always been a minor form of "tramp" at the front end of this car at speeds about 55 to 60 m.p.h. This has recently become more noticeable as a certain amount of rigidity has been lost in the scuttle corners and the glass in the windscreen is very loose. We propose to let Park Wards attend to this.

One of the coiled pipes supplying oil to the lower front pivot bearing was found to be cut through by the circular metal shield.

A similar failure has occurred on 8.B.V. during the latter part of run in France.
A modification is required.

The brush gear noise previously complained of has been investigated by the Exp/Lab. and a report has been issued. Since cleaning up the commutator the brush noise has been considerably reduced.

Tyres.

A new set of tyres have just been fitted, replacing a set which have worn smooth, and have run 9,594 miles. The tyre wear is very even.
