19080 To HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to CJ. S E C R E T. E3/M19.1.24. X.9080 X.9070 RE. EAC. CARBURETTER AND INDUCTION SYSTEM. The above has been completed in accordance with the programme originally intended, that is to say, it has been fitted with a butterfly valve in the exhaust, and control similar to the 40/50 except that both the hand and foot throttle control operate this butterfly valve instead of the foot only. With this used in conjunction with an aluminium casting for the induction pipe elbow the induction system should be capable of satisfying so far as we know all our requirements. We should be glad if you would kindly confirm that you are not expecting any alterations to the form of the heating system for the elbow and boilers. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
