PHANTOM CHASSIS.

FRONT AXLE CONTROL DAMPER SEC:7160.

IN ACCORDANCE WITH "N"SCHS:2294 & 2331.

Please receive herewith one blue print of each of the following:-

F.76919-24 Front Spring Packing. 2 off per chassis.
F.76925-30 " " 2 " " "
F.76931-36 " " 2 " " "
F.76937-42 " " 2 " " "
F.76943-46 Packing for Axle Control Damper Feet. 2 off per chassis.
F.76949-51 Eye Bolt(Control Damper Anchorage)4 off per chassis

Kindly instruct for the above to be produced experimentally in accordance with Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}'s requirements, noting that they are required to give a range of axle inclination, from 1° to 3°, and at the same time retaining the correct position of the Damper Anchorage bracket.

The following table shows the parts required for the various axle inclinations.-

1° 0' F.76919-24. F.76946. F.76949.
1° 30'(STD:) F.75512-18. - F.76376.
2° 0' F.76925-30. F.76943. F.76949.
2° 30' F.76931-36. F.76944. F.76950.
3° 0' F.76937-42. F.76945. F.76951.

The following part of which you already have blue prints, will also be required.-
F.73526 Dowel Pin for Damper Packing. 2 off.

An alteration to the Axle Drawing G.75484 is being sent through by "G" Dept. to show the Dowel Peg hole in the Axle Pad, off set .500 towards Front of chassis.
