Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}1/H1.10.23, Mr Davis will supply you with blueprints of the modification to the brush which we have found to be desirable. In regard to the question of the fuze wire, I take it that EFC, will discuss this matter and get a standardisation sheet issued before we go to the extent of altering the area of the fuze wire, as otherwise if other troubles occur, EFC, and ourselves would be blamed for making a change without a standardisation sheet. The modification to the brushes is a small matter which would come within my authority to modify. As a matter of fact the Works have already been instructed and Mtn, will arrange, in conjunction with Mr Davis, to obtain an A.T.D. number for 50 sets of brushes, modified as proposed and hand these over to you for despatch to the depots. Will Ds, send blueprints to the Repair Dept, and point out to them that modifications should be made, as and when dynamos or cars come in for overhaul, in conformity with the drawing in question. in addition will he see that all our stock of brushes are treated in this manner.
