SCUTTLE ISOLATION.

P. 2. N. SERIES.

We have seen the proposed print that you have sent with the modifications suggested by EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}

(1) JLE.{J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager} rightly points out that the side rubbers cannot be easily inserted as drawn, and suggests that they be wrapped in cloth and shewn thus:

[Handwritten note next to diagram: SIMILAR RECESS]

With a note to the effect that these are inserted after the body is mounted.

(2) The rubber isolation discs are shewn compressed to .350". JLE.{J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager} says that this may in some cases be found too much with the hard rubbers. We must leave you to settle this dimension with EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} and HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} as we have no data.

(3) These rubbers should be shewn seated right on the flange of the bead, thus:

(4) There does not seem to be any real need to give a compression dimension for the rubbers in the scuttle on the wooden rail, but if EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} and HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} agree to do so, we agree.

25HP.

We suggest that a similar print should be set out for the 25HP. forthwith.
