-3- should break reasonably sparklessly. (3) It should now be confirmed by means of a spring balance that the switch is definitely capable of holding on contact with a copper contact pressure of 3.0 lbs. measured by hooking a spring balance to the lever area a current not exceeding 7.0 amperes, inclusive of the current passing through the parallel non-inductive resistance, is supplied to it. (5) Whilst still warm from above test, an alternating voltage of 200 shall be applied, through a lamp, between the windings including the non-inductive resistance coil, and the switch arm; and also between the main switch contact pillar and the switch arm; for one minute without breakdown.
