PATCH INSTRUMENT BOARDS.
X.7530.
X.5530.

Referring to the standardisation sheet, originally the glass for patch instruments was drilled and two reflectors were inserted in the holes. We have had considerable trouble from broken glasses starting from where the holes were drilled. On new cars it has already been agreed to standardise it and do away with the holes in the glass altogether and to have no reflectors. The standardisation sheet refers to cars with the original instrument patch with the reflectors. The proposition is, that when these glasses fail they should be replaced with the plain glass. Due, however, to the fact that the lamps for lighting the instruments project through the patch, it will be necessary to stick on some reflectors to cover these holes.

2/-. The actual cost of the glass is, plain 1/4d., drilled to fit either of these glasses costs 12/2d per car.
