X4305 INTER-OFFICE CORRESPONDENCE ROLLS-ROYCE OF AMERICA, INC. SPRINGFIELD, MASS. Oy4 - G 4422 April 4, 1922 Dear Hives:- Re: Exhaust Heated Throttle In reply to yours of March 15, it is unfortunately quite impossible for us to so much as see the exhaust heated throttle if it is only to be fitted on cars sent to Canada. These cars have got to stay across the border for customs reasons, and furthermore, it is not possible for us to do any testing of any kind on a new body job since it so quickly gets dirty. Therefore, we earnestly desire that we should receive a sample set as previously promised, so we can test it out properly on 102-CE. We shall not be able to arrive at any definite conclusions, however, till about next January when we have had some cold weather experience. It is important of course to test it in the hot weather also on the off chance that it might add to our boiling troubles. Have you sent us any prints of the device? Oy.
