re RIPPLE.

I saw Ward on Saturday. His wood-work Shop had just been burnt out. The premises immediately in the rear of Park Ward's have also been burnt out. The fire missed the Ripple and about twenty other cars by a few feet.

Ward had made some modifications to the Ripple though several of them did not seem to be quite what we asked for. However, under the circumstances, I think we should now get this car delivered to Derby and therefore told him to finish off the painting, etc.,

It should be of considerable value here, in assessing the merits of the smaller body and also the frontal appearance of a Rolls Royce radiator with a high catwalk. This, I must say, takes a little getting used to.

I explained what we were doing at the Clan, and told Ward that we wanted him to make a body up to our drawings, when they were finished.

He said he definitely thought this could be done provided we could supply the material. We have the material for at least one body.

Ward promised to come up here in a fortnight's time to see exactly what we were doing.
