they might be expected to affect each other.

The same phenomenon of flywheel vibration occurs
with less intensity on the Phantom II, and in fact we first
noticed it on this car. Here however it is not so serious,
so we have commenced our experiments on the 20 HP., where
it is a factor limiting the performance. On the S.S. the
flywheel period manifests itself by a slight booming at
about 60 m.p.h. in 3rd, which disappears above this speed.

Many of the above observations are unconfirmed and
will be repeated shortly. We are modifying the supercharger
test rig to enable us to motor a 20 HP. engine from the
front of the crankshaft, and observe the behaviour of the
flywheel from behind.
