The following is a list of sparking plugs suitable for R.R. Engines. Kestrel engines. Kestrel IB Lodge A2/2, K.L.G. V7/1. Kestrel II S or MS Lodge A2/2, K.L.G. V7/1. Kestrel II S or MS (Rerated), Lodge A2/2, K.L.G. V7/2. Kestrel IV, V, VI (Derated), Lodge A2/2B, K.L.G. V7/2B. (6 lbs take-off) Lodge A5/B, K.L.G.V9/1B, }* K.L.G. 886B. Kestrel VII, VIII, IX (De-rated), Lodge A2/2B, K.L.G.V7/2B. (6 lbs take-off) Lodge A5/B, K.L.G.V9/1B, }* K.L.G.886B. Kestrel X, XI, XII K.L.G. V9/1, Lodge A5/B. Ø (derated). K.L.G. V7/2, Ø Lodge A2/2, Ø Buzzard engines. Buzzard II Lodge A2/2, K.L.G. V7/2. Merlin engines. K.L.G. 868D and Lodge X465D/1. * Probably most suitable for flight. Ø Never type-tested. The Air Ministry have decided to use on all Kestrel engines a universal plug which they have flight tested, i.e. K.L.G.V7/3.
