X3579 To H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LGS0/8.8.26! CHASSIS GLK-58. X4118 Replying to H2/GM27.8.26. It is possible for petrol to be sucked direct into the engine through the autovac pipe if the control valve to the suction in the autovac goes out of action. We have only had one case of this ever occurring. This was due to a small piece of solder in the pipe. You may consider it advisable to warn the customer of the cause, so that if it occurs again, he will know what to look for. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
