206. RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale}15/AP. 16th April 1937. The Manganese Bronze & Brass Co.Ltd., Handford Works, Ipswich, SUFFOLK Your Ref. ER/SV Dear Sirs, In reply to your letter of the 12th April, we would like to try 8 of your F.G.H.3. Bushes in the denser quality on an experimental car. We prefer not to alter our production standards without test - rattles are preferable to seizure. We are trying other types of bearing in addition because we note that your bushes which are already fairly expensive will increase in price if we require anything special. We will have an order sent to you for these 8 bushes, GB.2332. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
