Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd.,
DERBY

Dear Sirs,

We beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter of April 30th and have referred to our copy of the letter sent you on April 27th under reference WJN/HC.16 and regret to find that this letter does not correctly express the position with regard to defective parts and also that the proposal to make a charge for repairs to the contact breaker mentioned has been made under a misunderstanding.

The spirit of the arrangement existing between us is that not only will we do everything possible to ensure that all parts are in perfect condition when magnetos are despatched from our works but that in the event of any faulty part having inadvertently passed by our inspectors we will replace such parts even if the magneto had been delivered for say three years provided that it is returned to us, carriage paid, the only exceptions being damage by misuse or repairs necessitated by fair wear and tear.

You may rely on this being maintained as well as on our constant care to ensure the maintenance of a standard of quality which will give satisfaction both to your goodselves and to the users of your cars.

Yours faithfully,

For and on behalf of
NORTH & SONS LTD.

sgd. C.H.Kirby,
Director.
