Notes detailing the specifications of the carburettor for the Daimler 'Silent Knight' engine.

Notes taken by E.P. on the occasion of his visit to Daimler Works - 8/4/10.

Carburettor.- Three sprays, which are cut in and cut out according to the position of the throttle.
No. 1 jet (.020") is in at slow speeds only
No. 2 " (.021") comes in on second
No. 3 " (.042") comes in at third, No. 1 jet being then cut out
The check tube through which No. 1 jet passes is 1/4" diameter, No. 2 jet 1/2" diar., No. 3 jet 1/2" diar.
Size of throttle - three 1" diameter holes

Air slots. No. 1 - 5/16" x 3/8" - commences to open when No. 1 jet is closed - that is No. 2 jet commences to open.
Second slot when No. 1 is half open 5/16" x 7/8"
Third slot when No. 2 is half open 5/16" x 5/8"
