X4329 PN.{Mr Northey} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/LG29.5.23. 20 HP. SHOCK ABSORBERS. We should like to know whether you have had an opportunity of trying the Landaulet Car fitted with shock absorbers modified so that they have a single-stage & 50 lbs. friction. Also, we believe one of your open-trials cars was modified when it was last at the Works, of which we should also like your opinion. We have been carrying out tests on a car and we consider that the shock absorbers with 50 lbs. friction single stage form the best compromise. There is very little advantage gained by having the second-stage with still higher friction. We should be very glad of your comments because we are seriously considering recommending all shock absorbers to be 50 lbs., single stage. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
