To all testers. C.W./BM. JDB/J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 30.6.39. A Conference was held on the 'Silver Ripple' on the morning of 30/6/39. The following is a summary of the points raised:- (1) We should get the n.p. double contact breaker distributor on this car. (2) We should endeavour to run the simplified flexible flywheel disc. (3) Some form of vacuum ignition control should be fitted. (4) If the simplified petrol filler on G.C.V. is a success JDB. should see about getting it on the 'Ripple'. (5) Ory should get some light bumper bars for this car. (6) It should be fitted with the Ralto bearing wheel. (7) Hilly/S, please urge the Bowden wire hand brake lever details which should be fitted to this car. (8) New departure rear hub bearings should be fitted. (9) 1 chrome yokes and 3% nickel stub axles will be fitted. (10) The Burgess exhaust system in ... will be fitted similar to the one which ran on G.C.V. but with strengthened baffles. (11) An A.C. oil silencer with the correct finish will be fitted. (12) Edwards will check over the idling temperature to see if the fan size can be reduced. (13) Ory. will instruct the anti-rattle scheme for the second speed and crowded rollers on the layshaft. | ||
