TELEGRAMS: [BAI]LEY'S HOTEL, LONDON. TELEPHONE KENSINGTON 3 OPPOSITE GLOUCESTER ROAD STATION ON "TUBE," DISTRICT & METROPOLITAN RYS. BAILEY'S HOTEL, LONDON, S.W.7. ③ The driver of the other touring car (Pm's car) complained that the clutch would not stop sufficiently quickly. This is set to give the quickest possible stopping and cannot be improved upon; it stops as quickly as the usual E.17.C clutches. I believe from conversation down here, that even on 40/50 cars Pm always required a very quick stopping clutch and their clutch brake adjustment always had to be screwed up for this particular use. We have blanked off the boilers on this car, and the driver states that it has improved the silencer. | ||
