Dear Sirs,

"With further reference to yours of the 15th inst, WD{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}4/NJ, re revised specifications No.302 and 301 for batteries, we have been through this very carefully at our Works and as you are revising them we have the following comments to offer and suggestions to make.

Specification No.301.

No.1. We think the capacity can safely be called 70 to 80 ampere hours and our battery approximates very nearly to 80.

Nos.2,3,4 & 5. No comments.

No.6. We agree, though we put 2 central stays, one about 2" above the other.

No.7. Our battery with acid weighs about 100 lbs. and we think you are over generous with your weight.

No.8. Correct.

No.8a. The width and length are correct but the height of our cell is 8.9/16". We think you might give a certain amount of tolerance with the height as it is not so very important and merely a question of more or less amount of sealing compound.

Nos.9,10 & 11. We agree.

Contd.
