For the attention of C.Smith Esq.

Dear Sirs,

Our Order Office have received your quotation of the 13th inst. for steering rollers, and they will shortly be sending you an order for 210 rollers.

As promised in our letter of the 5th inst., we send herewith prints of our new drawings Nos. F.61470/1, F.61467/8/9, for the roller in question. These supersede our drawings F.61283/4, F.61355/6 which you now have, and show the plain bore of the inner races and the chamfer inside the roller. If you have any comments to make in connection with these prints will you please let us know.

Since we last wrote to you we have decided to change over to the smaller type of steering gear in the near future, and it is possible that the total quantity required of the existing type will not exceed 300. The new type will be to our drawings FW.911, FW.910 and FW.905, which the writer left with you on the occasion of his visit.

Will you please make for us 4 assemblies of this smaller type, to the following particulars:-

1. Roller FW.905 in S.82 material casehardned 0.050 - .060 deep.
2. Inner races FW.910 in high carbon sttel and made entirely by you.
