-2- together, complete with electrolyte and lids, shall not exceed 110 lbs. (7) OVERALL DIMENSIONS The overall dimensions of each component of the battery are absolutely limited to :- A length of 10.625" A width of 5.875" A height of 10.875" to top of cover screw. The available inside dimensions of the battery box which takes the two unit 6-volt batteries end on to one another are :- Length :- 23.400" Width :- 6.250" Height :- 10.950" the difference being allowed for packing and wedging. The vertical corners of each half battery must be chamfered off 45º to a depth of chamfer of amount .4375, as indicated in sketch under (9) below. (8) TESTS OF EACH THREE-COMPARTMENT MOULDED CELL CASE UNIT. Suitable pressure, both fluid and electrical, tests between neighbouring cell compartments must be made during manufacture so as to ensure that there can be no possibility of internal cell to cell leakage. (9) DISPOSITION OF CELLS. In each component half of the battery this will be such that the terminals of the half-battery will be at the extreme ends so that in no case a greater difference of potential than 4 volts exists between a portion of one cell and a portion of its neighbour.
