contd :- -2- why the hot spot valve should not be omitted. Previous experiments in this direction have shewn no ill effects resulting from a high hot spot temperature at the high speeds except a small, but not appreciable, loss in power. At present we are investigating the cause of the difference in power between the two exhaust systems and also making comparisons of the rate of warming up from cold. We hope shortly to be able to furnish further information. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/A.C.Lovesey. | ||
