We thank you for your letter of the 13th instant, with further reference to the 2- ER6. Magnetos Nos. 51 and 54. We note that after making certain experiments you have now arrived at the conclusion that it may be possible to reduce the utility value of 3 microhmos to 2.5 and that you are willing that this should stand at any rate as a provisional figure. As you say, had we had this figure of 2.5 earlier we could have avoided a certain amount of delay which has occurred in returning the magnetos to you, but as matters now stand we are pleased to be able to inform you that we have succeeded in reaching the figure originally laid down in your specification. The two magnetos are now complete and we beg to advise you they are being despatched to you tonight marked for your attention.
