With reference to EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}17/EG.2.4.36. K.L.G. V.9/1.B. are the latest type which have been actually tested on our Kestrel engines under actual flying conditions, hence the reason they were included in our specification for these engines, and subsequently in the contract. Although K.L.G.893.B., K.L.G.769.B. and Lodge A.5/B. were used on the type test engine, we have no actual experience with these in actual service, and although they are given in the type test certificate they have not yet been put into service by the Air Ministry, consequently it would not be advisable to supply them for the above contract.
