Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} BENTLEY - Petrol Tank You have already received from us a scheme for the lightened petrol tank on Bentley which has an outside filler in the panel of the body. We understand that an effort is being made to get this fitted to 6B4. The remaining information we have to send you to complete this design is that for a shield to protect the tank against flying stones. On LeC 4732 herewith we show such a shield, which is sweated to the tank, being only riveted in a few odd places to hold it in position. The design follows that proposed for the lightened tank on Phantom III. EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} Ill Att: LeC 4732. | ||
