Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}/EH8/L11314. Contd. 2nd test same conditions. Water Temp. Floorboard Temp. Plain Bonnet. 65° 66° 75° 72° 69° 69° 17° 21° 23° 22° 23° 24° Louvred Bonnet. 65 61 69 65 60 61 18 21 22 20 22 21 This test shows the shuttered bonnet not to be as good as the louvered for keeping the water cool. Approximately to average benefit from the shutters being open is 4% the difference between the plain and louvered bonnet is 8%. I do not consider we can take temperature tests in the cold weather or rather it is not wise to alter anything which will effect the water or floor board temperature until it has been tested in the hot weather. | ||
