X4646 To Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} from EFC. C R Hall EFC2/T1.7.25. X.4646. BONE GREY FIBRE FOR RUBBING BLOCKS. About a year ago you obtained for us two samples of bone grey fibre, a portion of each of which is handed to you herewith, the first sample being that of the square section, and the second being in slab form. It is understood that the second sample was obtained from our own people in U.S.A.. but we are not aware of the source of the first sample. A number of tests on this material as rubbing block material has now been completed with very good results, which are being made the subject of an experimental report. Standardisation of the material for this purpose is proposed, but we should first like to know from you what indication we can give upon the reliability of supply. EFC. | ||
