ELECTRIC STARTER. X.9650.

ACTUATOR & STARTER PINION SPRINGS.

We send herewith drawing LeC.1848, giving the data in connection with the above.

We think a pressure of about .5 lbs. on the switch contact of the actuating device should be suitable, and also a pressure of 1.5 lbs. for the starter pinion spring in the position of rest. For this latter we have shewn two different specifications, both of which should be tried, one having a higher rating than the other. We should prefer an 18 SWG. spring to the 19 SWG as being a more practical and stiffer spring.

We have sent a blue print of LeC.1848 to Mr. Royce and we should be glad if you would send this drawing to Mr. Rowledge for his inspection.
