XCOTTF 342 To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} c. to HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/W.Bell. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Les.4/KW.14.9.34. SpectreCodename for Phantom III Front Shock Dampers. At the moment we are unable to check the front damper loads on the above car, as when the coil springs are removed there is no connection between the damper piston and the intermediate lever. We attach Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1500 showing a method by which this can be overcome. We have shown two alternative links, one is intended for W. Bell's test rig work and the other for use on chassis. Will you please produce 4 adaptors for attaching to the piston and 2 of each of the 2 alternative links. We shall then want W. Bell to have a complete SpectreCodename for Phantom III spring box and damper less the springs, so that he will be in a position to take indicator diagrams, and test the various jointings for oil leaks.
