40/50 & 20 HP. CARS FOR SPEED. X.469 X.235 X.4426
----------------------------------------------------

When you have to prepare cars for speed merchants, I believe we ought to fit them with double shock dampers - our hydraulic, plus say Hartfords which can be easily screwed up when high speed running is anticipated.

There is no help for it but that enormous damping is needed from 50 m.p.h. upwards, both for safe steering and comfortable riding.

I rather doubt if our hydraulic dampers (good as they are) are hardly effective enough at the amounts we have adopted, especially for the 40/50.
