X 1166 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Bwg.{J. C. Bowring}7/KW. 25th May, 1935. Messrs. S. Smith & Sons (M.A.) Ltd., Cricklewood Works, London, N.W.2. For attention of Mr. Bailey. Dear Sirs, "Jackalls". With reference to the two Jacks you recently returned for chassis 28-EX. We have to-day despatched one of these to you marked for the attention of Mr. Bailey. This Jack still fails for no apparent reason whatsoever. The unions and pipe lines are intact and leak proof. A certain amount of oil appears to leak from inside the Jack, which we have left intact for your investigation. Will you please let us have this back as soon as possible. Failing this, perhaps you can let us have a temporary replacement so that the system can be put in working order. Thanking you for your prompt attention in the matter. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
