A.T. SPEEDOMETER B.563.14/52. WITH SMALL TYPE DIAL.

It will be remembered that this instrument, though giving satisfactory readings, had a trip counter fault, for which it was returned to the makers. We have received it back again and re-tested it, and now find same satisfactory in all respects, giving a satisfactory reading and a satisfactorily small variation of reading with temperature.

It is suggested that this instrument should now be fitted on an expl. car. For this purpose we have handed it to Mr. Lidsey and it will be put on expl. chassis 8-EX which is the only one with a 14/52 axle for which this instrument is suitable. If this small dial instrument is now to be entertained for production, we think we should obtain one more of these for test on a further experimental car before finally deciding upon standardisation. We should require one with a 15/52 rating.
