I think linkage sponge is detectable when one is seeking it (the linkage is much more flexible than ours) but I never recognised any resonant effects. The boulevard ride is fine and quiet and free from brake dive but our customers would not tolerate the shake on secondary roads. I appreciated the freedom from acceleration squat more than I expected to. Transmission The gearbox is quite delightful. I managed to get transmission judders (a) starting on a gradient with a slightly loose surface and (b) coming out of a sharp bend with all the throttle I dared use; but I imagined in both cases that the rear axle and not the gearbox was to blame.
