EFC WB.{Mr Brazier/Mr Bell}124. 7.1.27. LOW TENSION EARTHING CONNECTION ON WATFORD IS.12 MAGNETOS. This method adopted by Messrs. Norths for securing the low tension earthing or switching wire is not considered by ourselves and the testers to be at all satisfactory. At present there is very little margin allowed for clamping the wire, and unless the conductor is tightly twisted and of the correct size to just push into the hole, it works loose and can be easily pulled away. We should be glad if Messrs. Norths would modify these clamps in the future, by either allowing the clamping nut to be screwed up further or adopting a screw terminal arrangement, as on the B.T.H. magnetos. EFC/H.E.West. | ||
