Dear Sirs, Re 12 Volt Battery. We are in receipt of your favour of the 21st inst., and regret that the special Battery was not despatched to you on the 24th ult., as promised, but at the last moment it was decided to embody still later improvements than we anticipated, and these have accordingly delayed the completion of this job. We are, however, pleased to inform you that this Battery will be ready for despatch to you to-morrow, and should the Railway Company accept same, it should be at your Works early next week. We shall be glad to know if same comes safely to hand. Yours faithfully, JOSEPH LUCAS LIMITED per ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT.
