Cold Starting on 20/25 HP. and Bentley.

During the recent cold weather we found that the geared starter motors which were expressly designed to facilitate cold starting, would not function because engine oil got on the pinion bearing and gummed it up, the result being that it would not engage.

To overcome this difficulty we are proposing to try out some undercut bushes as shown on EL.267.

We are going to put Hancock's car, 21-G-IV, into the cold chamber next week, and should be glad therefore if you could have one of these bushes fitted as soon as possible.
