13. Messrs John HOWLEM & Co., Ltd.. after testing a set of 'NER-HIS' adaptors for six weeks on various types of engines including the Semi-Diesel which has always been a trouble with regard to oily plugs, have proved their efficiency and have ordered several dozen 'NER-HIS' for use on their vehicles.

The tests were carried out by Mr. J.V. HAVERS late R.N., R.N.A.S., R.A.F., Engineer Officer, Airships etc.. Tests included oily plugs and condensation. It was also found that their use was an advantage with single cylinders using cheap grade of petrol, and for starting engines in all weathers.
