-2- You can help us on this job by telling us what the position of the worst French road surface is, and what sort of a coefficient of friction you get. As far as I can remember, there are stretches where one could spin ones back wheels when accelerating top gear on a Phantom with Silent Tread tyres but we rather think that these are rapidly becoming a rarity now that the public are aware of their dangerous nature. Now will you take a car out to any bad bit you know and let us know in what distance you can pull up from 30 m.p.h. when the surface is wet and all four wheels locked. It is most important that the speedometer should read correctly and that you do four or five runs to get an average. At the same time you might try the difference between Triple Stud and Silent Tread tyres and we do not think that you will find the difference is more than 15% which may surprise you. We are putting up the question of a louder note Klaxon to EFC. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} | ||
