| RECEIVED Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} - from Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} x6093 URGENT. ROY{Sir Henry Royce}/MS28/P.7.3.33. Some days ago Wst. stated he had been informed that the Carbon Brushes manufactured by British Carbons Ltd. were made of re-ground carbon brushes. We have been in communication with British Carbons and they now inform us that their brushes are made from virgin carbon. A copy of their letter is attached. Please say whether you are in a position to standardise the brushes manufactured by British Carbons Ltd., as we are holding up orders for "Z" Series and 40/50 HP Chassis pending this information.
