BENTLEY BRAKE DRUM

The N.S. rear brake drum just taken off 6.B.1V. has a slight tendency to crackle. To see if we can stop this will you please:-

(1) Remove races and soak drum in an oven at 230ºC. for 20 hours (it has already had this heat treatment once)

(2) Remove liner and replace with similar nickel plated liner, having the correct interference fit (.026" - .030")

(3) Replace on car 6.B.1V.
