15th. April, 1940.

Messrs. David Brown & Sons Ltd.,
Huddersfield.

For the attention of Mr.Gardner.

Dear Sirs,

We understand from our Mr. Swift that you have asked us for the loan of either photographs or samples of hypoid gears for the purpose of illustrating an article.

We have no photographs that would be suitable for your purpose but are sending you an unused pinion and crownwheel as used on our Bentley chassis with 0.650 hypoid offset.

We hope this is what you require. If you need any further parts or particulars we will do our best to help you if you will let us know.

Yours faithfully,
FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
