-2- APPENDIX I. STANDARD REFERENCE FUEL. - The standard reference fuel shall consist of a mixture of equal volumes of pure crystallizable Benzene and Hexane to the following requirements. HEXANE.- The material shall be water white and free from visible and odorous impurities. DISTILLATION RANGE. - When distilled under standard conditions 97 per cent. shall distil between 67.50 and 69.50 C. DENSITY. - The desnity at 15C. shall be between 0.685 and 0.695. ANILINE POINT. - The aniline point of the hexane as determined by the I.P.T. shall be as follows:- Before sulphonation - not less than 56.50 C. After sulphonation - not less than 54.0 C.
