To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} X1020 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}27/KW.8.10.36. Phantom III Big End Bearings. We had the Hoyt Metal people over here to-day, and they offered to supply us with some Ph.III big end bearings in their latest Babbitt, which Bristols have been running with such success. In order to proceed with the experiment it will be necessary for us to supply them with a dozen Ph.III big end bearing blocks. They would prefer new parts, but if owing to production difficulties we have to supply one set which have already been metalled once, they do not consider that this will spoil the experiment.
