To EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} from Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} " Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X417 Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}/WW15/W26.1.26. Chassis No. 118-MC - Bt.{Capt. J. S. Burt - Engineer} Trials Car. For your information we give you below copy of Btl/EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/25.1.26 :- "Now that you have this car I should be very glad if you would give attention to the clutch, which constantly has attacks of 'jaggers'. These can be cured for a short time by indulging in constant slipping, but always return. The history of the case is - clutch O.K. as delivered and remained O.K. for 3,000 miles till I returned car to you for curing of overoiling in August last. Immediately after I got it back it developed jaggers very badly. Some time afterwards I sent the car to N. who returned it working quite well, but the jaggers again developed within 1000 miles. I hope you may be able to effect a permanent cure." Will Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} kindly let us have a reply as early as possible to our Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}/FHA4/EW15.1.26, as we cannot trace yet having received one. Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}/WW. | ||
