X.7005 To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to CJ. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}3/M23.12.25. EAC.7. ENGINE SUSPENSION. Herewith we send N.sch.2112 shewing a new form of front suspension arm wh made of a sheet metal pressing. This suits the modified sheet metal cross beam at the front of the suspension, and involves slight modifications to the crankcase. We also send N.sch. 2113 shewing the same thing done with a forging. Of these two Mr. Royce we believe prefers N.sch.2112., and we think this drawing should be worked on N.sch.2113 being held in reserve in case N.sch.2112 is not entirely successful.
