1210 Vo. from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} O.{Mr Oldham} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} As Memos Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}7/ML.5.11.40. VISIT OF MAJOR MURPHEY. CANADIAN CORPS. Major Murphey of the Canadian Corps called today. General MacNaughton, who is his Commanding Officer, is intensely interested in armaments and, in particular, in the attaining of very high muzzle velocities. He is anxious that we should co-operate with him in some experiments he is hoping to make on the subject. As an advanced project on armament work, this may be of interest and I have therefore asked him to submit details of exactly what he is proposing to do, in writing.
