Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} c. to Wor. {Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} GOSHAWK - ROCKER ROLLERS X.4229. X.4226. Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 4/LH {Mr Haworth} 19.6.22. We have tested a set of the larger diameter rollers which have increased clearances in the hole and sideways. They have been run 150 miles. One roller has now a definite flat. Experiments, up-to-date with increased clearance on the pin and endways, and larger diameter rollers, have not overcome the flats being formed. We certainly think a scheme should be got out of doing away with the rollers. Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
