Dear Sirs,

Your Ref:- Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.1/AD.

I have your letter of yesterday's date.

The position with regard to the proposed anti-dazzle regulations is that certain draft regulations were issued by the Ministry of Transport some time ago. This draft, however, is purely in a tentative form and was issued for the purpose of discussion with the various Motoring Organizations. The Motoring Organizations through the medium of the Motor Legislation Committee, of which this Club is one of the constituent bodies, suggested substantial amendments to the draft and these are now under consideration by the Ministry. In the circumstances, it is quite impossible to make any definite statement as to when the regulations are likely to be promulgated by the Ministry, or as to the exact form they will take.

Yours faithfully,

[Signature: F P Armstrong]

SECRETARY.
