The following is the best HP. curve we have so far obtained from the above engine :-

E.A.C. POWER OUTPUT - with 40/50 HP. Carb.
By adjusting carb. for each speed.

| R.P.M. | Lbs. | M.E.P. | B.H.P. |
|--------|-------|--------|--------|
| 500 | 143.5 | 104 | 29.95 |
| 750 | 140 | 102 | 43.75 |
| 1000 | 140.5 | 102.2 | 58.6 |
| 1250 | 132 | 96 | 68.75 |
| 1500 | 128 | 93.2 | 80 |
| 1750 | 123 | 89.7 | 89.75 |
| 2000 | 115.5 | 84.1 | 96 |

It will be seen that we are getting very good power at low speeds but it falls off more rapidly than it should do at high speeds.

The excellent torque at low speeds proves the distribution is very good.

Up to the present we have run this engine fitted with a standard 40/50 HP. Carburetter.
