In January last it was reported that gears produced in S/ZNCR. having soft splines had proved satisfactory on the Dynamometer Test but it was considered necessary to obtain road running experience before issuing Standardisation Sheets. We are anxious to introduce these gears on Production as soon as possible. We would therefore like to know when clearance can be effected. The gears in question are as follow - G.84800 - 2nd. Speed Driven Gear. G.85286 - " " " " G.81570 - Constant Mesh Gear. G.81571 - 3rd. Speed Driving Gear. G.81575 - 1st. Speed Driving Gear. G.82573 - Servo Worm. 4942 miles RHC.{R. H.
